My landlady will be renting her basement apartment in her house. The house is located right by Lewis Gale in Roanoke. The neighborhood is really safe and quiet. I’ve really enjoyed living here. Here is more info:

RECESS: Arts Night
Remember all the creative things you did before you started med school? We’re taking over a gallery in downtown Blacksburg and showcasing VCOM talent. Why? Because sometimes we need to remind ourselves, and our future patients too, that studying is not the only thing we do.
What do you do? This is the opportunity to display your paintings, poetry, drawings, photographs, sculptures, prose, quilting, fashion design, and whatever else gives you a creative swing. Submissions accepted from VCOM students, faculty, staff, and close associates.
Fill out this artist registry form by December 21, 2011, to tell us what art you’d like to put on show, and we will get back to you shortly with more information.

December 7, 2011A great place to rent, especially if you have rotations at Carillion, Lewis Gale or Salem VAMC! Just about 5-15 minutes to the hospitals. The landlady, Sherry, is wonderful and professional. I've lived here for a few months and have no problems. The place is quiet, good for studying. She has a room with a private bathroom available. The house is located in a peaceful neighborhood in wooded lot with a deck. $400/month + split utilities.
